As a kitchen team leader, you will support, lead and motivate the team to prepare, cook and present good-quality food quickly and efficiently. Our aim is to deliver every order to our customers within 10 minutes.
We have high standards in our kitchens, with an average food hygiene rating of 4.99 (highest-possible rating is five). Our kitchen teams prepare and serve over 3 million items every week and even earn themselves a free meal on every shift too.
Bar team leader
Bar team leaders support, lead and motivate the team of associates to deliver friendly, efficient customer service, to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our customers.
From coffee and breakfast to shooters and cocktails, face to face or via the Wetherspoon app, our bar and floor teams pour and serve over 10 million drinks each week – and we pay them for every minute they work, with an enhanced rate during midnight–5.59am.
Hotel team leader
As a hotel team leader, you’ll always deliver friendly, efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our guests, fulfilling any reasonable requests to ensure their satisfaction and comfort.
You’ll supervise, train and motivate your team to ensure best-in-class service, from managing guests’ arrivals and departures and office administration to checking bedrooms and ensuring the safety and security of our guests – you’ll learn new things, become recognised for your efforts and gain skills which will last for ever!
Kitchen shift leader
As a kitchen shift leader, demonstrating passion and enthusiasm in your role, you’ll support, lead and motivate the team to meet sales, profit and compliance targets – daily.
You’ll prepare, cook and serve food, while ensuring the smooth, efficient running of the kitchen at all times. You’ll assist in accurate food-ordering to ensure 100% availability, so that, at all times, our customers’ meals can be delivered within our 10-minute service aim.
Hotel night shift leader
To deliver friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our hotel guests.
You’ll conduct regular security and fire safety checks to ensure the safety and security of all of our hotel guests. You’ll take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained throughout your shift. You’ll liaise with guests, maintain high levels of welcome, interaction and customer management on every shift – and sometimes manage check-ins, check-outs and aftercare.
Bar shift leader
Supporting the management team, bar shift leaders lead and motivate the team of associates and team leaders to meet sales, profit and compliance targets – daily.
Once trained, shift leaders run shifts and work unsupervised by a manager, opening and closing the pub, adhering to policies and procedures and striving to achieve company goals and action plans.
Kitchen manager
As a kitchen manager, you’ll take full responsibility for all aspects of managing your kitchen.
You’ll support, lead and motivate the team, in a safe and happy environment, to meet sales, profit and compliance targets. You’ll prioritise tasks and have good organisational skills to ensure that each shift runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll have responsibility for setting and achieving financial targets and delivering positive stock results. You’ll create and maintain a people-focused culture in your kitchen, from recruiting and training your team to providing an environment for people to learn and develop their skills.
Hotel manager
As a hotel manager, you’ll demonstrate passion and enthusiasm in your role, showing commitment to your colleagues and guests.
You’ll deliver friendly, efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our guests. Hotel managers check that bedrooms and hotel areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard and assist in forecasting room rates and occupancy levels, always looking to build sales and control costs.
Shift manager
As a shift manager, you’ll support the pub manager to lead and motivate the team to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.
You’ll have a friendly nature and excellent communications skills – able to remain calm, when working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll create a people-focused culture, leading by example and creating an environment in which your team members can learn and develop their skills.
Pub manager
As a pub manager, you’ll need to take full responsibility for all aspects of managing a successful pub.
You’ll have good organisational skills, be able to prioritise tasks and delegate areas of responsibility to the team. You’ll forecast sales and associated costs, striving to meet and exceed long-term financial targets. You’ll create and maintain a people culture, ensuring, at all times, that all aspects of the employee promise are delivered to the team.
