Do you have a question about applying for a staff job?
How do I apply for a position with Wetherspoon?
All of our pubs recruit for their own vacancies using the online application system. For example, if you have seen a poster in a pub, please speak to the management team to see whether the vacancy is still available. If so, please click on the ‘Search for jobs’ tab, where you can search, and apply, for all of our current vacancies.
I am under 18 years of age – can I still apply?
Yes you can – we can employ under-18s in both floor and kitchen positions, so please search for these roles to apply.
I am under 16 years of age – can I still apply?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any employment to under-16s; please visit our site again once you meet minimum school-leaving age.
Do I need experience to apply for a position?
No experience is necessary to apply for an associate position. Please click on the ‘Search for jobs’ tab, where you can search, and apply, for our current vacancies.
I am interested in applying for a new-opening pub, but the vacancies aren’t online yet.
We tend to start recruiting six to eight weeks before a new pub opens. Vacancies will be advertised on this site, so please keep checking back!
How do I unsubscribe from job alerts?
You will find an ‘unsubscribe’ link on all e-mails from us – please use this and you will be removed from our mailing list.
I have seen a poster in my local pub advertising for staff, yet can’t find the roles online – what do I do?

I have submitted an application form and haven’t received a response.
As our pubs recruit directly for their own vacancies, please contact the pub where you have applied for a position.
What shifts will I be required to work in the pubs?
All of our team members work shifts on a rota basis, with each pub having different hours available. Please speak to the management team in the pub where you have applied for a position, if you have any specific requests.
I am experiencing technical issues on the website – whom do I contact?
If you are on a PC – please ensure that you have clicked ‘accept cookies’ on the banner at the bottom of the screen and enabled access to the required pages. If you continue to experience issues, please contact our recruitment team.
Do you offer work experience opportunities?
We are unable to accommodate any requests for unpaid work experience. If you already work for us and would like to use your paid employment as work experience for school or college, please speak to your pub manager.
